Bella came to the rescue severely emaciated, a fungal infection on her skin and in foal. She was very scared of humans. She lost her foal. It took a year to bring her back to health. Bella has become a wonderful horse that has brought much joy to a loving family. She now has a caring home to live out the rest of her years.

Owner Update:

Hi Brenda,
Just wanted to let you know that you gave me the greatest gift in Bella. I am so glad that you rescued her, and let our family adopt her. I ended up not renaming her, beautiful just seems to suit her! She is the most wonderful mare, it is like she knows she has been given a second chance at life and she is determined to enjoy it to the fullest!! She is the first at the gate, adores rubs and snuggles, and is so patient when my kids want to brush and snuggle her. She has settled in really well, and is just the most delightful mare. We love her to bits!!!

We have ridden her english and western, and she is very willing to do whatever we ask her. My son is working on teaching her to bow for a carrot, and she loves the time and attention, and especially the carrot!

Thank you again, you are doing such a wonderful thing at your rescue, I wish all the best, Rachel.
